THE LIFE CHANGING

GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

1

Have you ever thought about where you will spend eternity?

Spend a few minutes reading what the Bible says about it.

2

Your place in eternity depends upon your standing with God.  Most people would say they have a good relationship with God - so let's find out where you stand.

ROMANS 3:23  "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

The Bible tells us that "...all have sinned..."

A person who has sinned is a "sinner".  Whether we did it in the past, or do it in the future: the Bible has declared ALL have sinned.

Have you?

Let's find out...

3

Have you ever stolen, used God's name as a swear word, lied, coveted things which didn't belong to you, or even lusted after another person?  If you have, then the Bible says that you have "sinned" and therefore you are a sinner.  And that's only 5 commandments, there are 5 more!

ROMANS 6:23  "For the wages of sin is death"

Just as Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden, so has our sin separated us from the presence of God.  Read Isaiah 59:2

The Bible makes it clear that there will be "nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known" Read Luke 12:2, Ecc 12:14

What can be done?

Good deeds, maybe?

Live a good life, maybe?

Doing 'good deeds' and living a 'good' life can't undo sin and the consequences God demands for being found guilty.

ROMANDS 3:12  "...there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

5

The good news is that God, being a righteous judge, made a way for your sin debt to be paid.

ROMANS 6:23  "For the wages of sin is death...

...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus                             Christ our Lord."

Even though we deserve eternal hell, Romans 5:8 says "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

What love!  Jesus died on the cross to be a substitute for your sins!  And on the third day, Jesus was raised from the dead, which proved that God accepted Jesus' death as payment.

6

Gifts MUST be received.  Right?

ROMANS 10:9-10,13  "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

In order to receive the gift of salvation, one must receive it through prayer in faith.  Don't wait!  The bible says "...now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" 2 Cor 6:2

Do you want forgiveness of your sins?  Confess your sins before God and ask him to be the Lord and Savior of your life - trust me, He will!

The bible says "There is now therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus."

7

In Christ, our eternity will be with Him in heaven!

Bible Study

The Lord will teach us about Himself through the reading of His word.  The instruction of how we should live our lives, the answers of how God created the universe and our purpose in life are found in the study of God's Word (2 Tim 2:15).

Fellowship

Going to church is an important part of a Christian's life.  Not only do we hear words of encouragement through the preaching of God's Word, we also get to commune with other believers.  Pray that God will send you to the right fellowship where you can grow spiritually and strengthen your walk with Him.  (1 John 1:3)

Prayer

Praying is something that should be done regularly in the life of a Christian.  The bible says we need to pray for one another, for our country, for our family and for the many real-life issues that constantly affect us. (1 Thes 5:17)
